'Forsaken'
'Forsaken' is a piece I created based on a photo taken by a friend of an abandoned car and dilapitated buildings in Marysville, MT. I opted to remove all color from the project except for the old car. Many of the details of the trees are created with 'thread painting' (basically sewing them in with thread). Recreating the sculptured snow was a challenge - I used about 4 different fabrics to recreate the snowy areas.
This piece is created from fabric and thread only.
The finished piece is 17" x 12" and was framed.
